Low-cost housing is spreading all over Egypt from the north to upper, many issue appeared on the horizon, such as high maintenance costs, high levels of energy consumption, and the emergence of many practices for residents of these units in an attempt to adapt between their needs and the design of low buildings. One of the most important challenges impacting quality of life is energy conservation. Particularly in low-cost housing. The study is based on questionnaires conducted with the participation of the residents on low- cost houses projects in Egypt. Trying to find the most important problem and put forward ways to improve and raise quality of life, especially from the perspective of energy conservation. Studying the Living satisfaction in low- cost houses, and difference between a participant's objectives and requirements and the reality of their present housing arrangement. This paper aims to raise the quality of life in low-cost housing from the perspective of energy conservation. Finally, these questionnaires is analyzed on proposal design and how this proposal is applied. |
